Rocky Shores is a special thematic section where the boundary between sea and land, one of nature’s most striking transition areas, meets life. At Emaar Aquarium, this area is designed in an arrangement that directly reflects the natural life of waves-shaped rocks, surfaces covered with algae, and semi-terrestrial creatures.

Thanks to realistic rock formations and beach texture, visitors feel as if they are inside the coastal habitat. This area offers the opportunity to get to know not only about the sea but also the aquatic life forms closest to land.

The creatures living here are generally species that have adapted to tidal movements and can live both on land and in water. Creatures such as crabs, starfish, sea urchins, some small shellfish, and mussels are among the main species that attract visitors’ attention. Feeding times conducted by aquarium staff provide an educational experience while attracting children’s interest.
